In our short career we’ve had the pleasure to book two client shoots at Detroit’s historic Sacred Heart Chapel. Located on the grounds of Marygrove College, the Sacred Heart Chapel was dedicated in 1928 and underwent several restorations over the years; most recently the pipe organ and stained glass in 2002.
From the gothic exterior architecture, to the lush interior woodwork, shooting at Marygrove makes for some truly timeless images. In fact, we’ve made a point to shoot long time-exposures of the interior — so that our brides have a keepsake of the quiet little chapel.
For more information on Marygrove’s Sacred Heart Chapel visit the Marygrove College website or the Historic Campus Architecture Project.
